Dr. Steven Yarmosky was also born and raised in Baltimore, MD and is the 3rd of 4 boys and the brother of Dr. Louis. An active athlete and sports enthusiast he lettered in soccer, basketball, and baseball while in high school then “hit the books” and graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of Maryland in College Park in only three years. Dr. Steve then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Maryland in 1973 where he served as President of his Dental School Class every year. Dr. Steve completed his Pediatric Specialty Training and Residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dayton, Ohio and served as “Chief Pediatric Resident” during his 2nd year.
Dr. Steven moved to the Berkshires in 1980 and joined Dr. Louis at Yarmosky Pediatric Dentistry where together they had the vision and inspiration to “grow” the practice and provide the best, most progressive and compassionate comprehensive dental and orthodontic care to children and adolescents in the area. Dr. Steven has extensive training and interest in the growth and development and orthodontic treatment of children and adolescents, prevention and restorative dental care and participates actively in frequent continuing education and the latest research in pediatric dental and orthodontic topics. He prides himself in treating children with compassion and humor. Dr. Steve is a staff member at Berkshire Health Systems and provides surgical dental day surgery at the Crane Center and is an instructor with the Advanced General Dentistry Residency program at Berkshire Medical Center. Dr. Steve is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, Massachusetts State Dental Society and the Berkshire District Dental Society where he has served as Chairman of the Ethics Committee.
Dr. Steven met his wife, Mary during his residency training in Ohio. After struggling with years of infertility, they gave birth to quadruplet girls Alex, Alena, Elyse, and Jessica on May 8th, 1989 (Dr. Steve’s birthday!!). Dr. Steve and Mary raised their four girls in Richmond where they attended Richmond Consolidated School and then Monument Mountain High School. At the present time, Elyse and Jessica live in Boston, Alena in Berkeley, California, and Alex in Asheville, North Carolina.
